With the purpose of rescuing the creative, ancestral, cultural and social labor of Colombian artisans. Expoartesanías has been part of Colombian culture since de early 90´s. It is considered the biggest artisan fairs in Latin America and is the most important commercialization platform for thousands of artisans throughout the country.
For its 28th edition Expoartesanías is all about a renewal. Not only is the fair selling ethnic, traditional and contemporary crafts of the highest quality, this year it is going to be the meeting point of those who love to experience new things and appreciate culture and traditions. To mark that change we come with a new image logo that represents the colors, textures and crafts that make up Colombia.
“I have always believed that walking the fair is travelling through Colombia through its crafts. They are made with elements that come from the earth, they represent nature that surrounds our different regions, with their symbols ancient indigenous cosmologies are shared. Our new logo is all about honoring our origin, the wisdom and meditation involved on the weaving, molding, carving, dying and designing of our crafts”. said Ana María Fríes, CEO of ‘Artesanías de Colombia’.
The logo comes with the change of the names of pavilions in the fair too, to invite the assistant to walk through a diverse, unique and magic Colombia.
“As I said before, our objective is that who is going to visit the fair has the possibility of getting to know Colombia in one place, buy representative pieces from all regions of the country and talk with the artisans that personally handmade them”, concludes the CEO of ‘Artesanías de Colombia’.
We will have 5 pavilions of ethnic, traditional, contemporary crafts as well as food court with dishes from all over Colombia. This is a fair that will expand your view and a space to share with family, a meeting with the ancestral heritage.
